25 Days of December 2013 Album

Well it's been almost a week since my last post. I was going to post the photos of my SN@AP Simple Stories album in the beginning of the week. That did not happened because, I started painting my album with Distress Paint  by Tim Holtz in the brushed pewter color and  that was to silvery. I was not happy with the color so, I went with this peeled paint by Tim Holtz. I applied three coats and used my Making Memories sand block to distress the album a bit. I used some We R Memory Keepers Washi Tape-Onyx and some Red Ribbon (name unknown from stash) to dress the album up a bit.

The chipboard frame is from Scenic Route Paper Co. (Rockland Let it Snow) so it the pattern paper behind it. I used my Making Memories sand block to distress the frame and brushed some Tim Holtz Distress Ink Fired Brick to the edges. I love chipboard but I can't never find it in the colors, shapes, letters, numbers etc. that I want so, I make my own. The number 25 is Quickutz Blossom Grand numbers that I layered 6 times, embossed them white, added Tim Holtz Distress Ink Fire Brick and heated, I then sprayed Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist in perfect pearl and heated. The word DAYS is Quickutz Blossom Mini cut out from Heidi Swapp Color Magic paper, that I layered 6 times, added Tim Holtz Distress Ink Fire Brick and heated, I then sprayed Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist in heirloom gold and heated. I did the same for the word OF but added Diamond Stickles, this matches with the ribbon. The word December is Quickutz Diesel that I layered only 4 times, embossed them white, I then sprayed Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist in perfect pearl and heated. Finally the 2013 is Quickutz Blossom Mini numbers that I layered only 4 times, embossed them white and sprayed Heidi Swapp Color Shine Sweet Cherry and heated.

Last but not least I sprayed Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist in perfect pearl to the red part of the album to make it shimmery.

  1. Hi Veronica! Haven't seen you on the Scraptastic Forum in some time so I thought I'd pop by your blog and see what you're up to. I see your blog is about as up to date as mine! LOL. Your Christmas book turned out nice -- hope you got a chance to fill it with pictures and memories.

Hope all is well with you, and that Springtime is arriving in Chicago!
